I have been a terribly negligent blogger. My sincerest apologies! I'm here in Los Angeles visiting my BFF Justin. Before that, I was in North Carolina visiting family for 10 days. It's been a whirlwind two weeks! I'm here in LA until Tuesday, when I head up to San Francisco to turn around and head to the Russian River for a few days with friends. Then SF until August 12th, including my presentation at the American Sociological Association's annual meeting there. I was THRILLED when I found out a few days ago that my paper on bottoms was awarded the Sociologist AIDS Network's Martin Levine Student Essay Award! They'll be presenting the award at SAN's meeting during ASA.
Phew!
Anyholler. I'm going to do my best to keep the blogging up while I'm here. But my Internet access is choppy. I'll be trying to install a Movable Type app that will let me blog from my iPhone. That will help keep things moving!
Tomorrow I'm meeting up with Tony Valenzuela to film a new installment of "The View From the Bottom." Any last minute questions? Submit them online -- the form can be found on the right-hand sidebar on this here weblog.
Congrats, Trevor! A well deserved honor for your work!
Can't wait to see you and Tony together in the next installment...and then also see you both next month in Chicago!
