Phew! After a few weeks of research and compiling, here's a rough draft of my syllabus for a class I'm teaching this summer, "The Sociology of Sexuality." Thoughts on the content??? Hey Trevor,
In terms of pornography, Linda Williams from Berkeley really pushed a pro-sex feminist analysis of porn, talks about the various meanings of the cum shot, and tells a great history of the genre. She argues that a cultural media that generates more revenue than Broadway deserves a critical look. Check out here (gasp) seminal work, Hard Core, or her more recent anthology, Porn Studies.

Hey this looks like a really good course! I did a similar subject in the English department called Reading Sexuality, taught by Annamarie Jagose of Queer Theory (1996) fame. One query - how can you omit the delicious Sandy Stone "Empire Strikes Back" paper??
