I still don't understand how the United States sees fit to execute people. I just can't wrap my brain around it.

A judge in California temporarily halted lethal injections in California, calling them "cruel and unusual punishment." Though he says they can be "fixed." If by fixed he means eliminated, then I whole heartedly agree! Check out the CNN story here.
